Come as you are, with whatever you’re carrying. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.
When you’ve spent years feeling like you’re “too much” and wondering why you are the way you are, it can be hard knowing where you fit in. This pressure—as an adult or teen—to get everything right only makes you more anxious, down on yourself, or frustrated by your own reactions. Past trauma may be part of what’s coming up, too. And when there’s no one in your life you can really talk to about it, all those thoughts and feelings can start to pile up.
Maybe you’re here because you’re trying to make sense of an experience that changed how you see yourself. Pregnancy or birth might not have gone the way you hoped, and while everyone around you seems focused on the baby, you’re still carrying what happened to you. You might be navigating infertility, adjusting to life with young kids, or wondering why becoming a parent has brought up feelings you didn’t expect. You love your family, but that doesn’t mean every part of this experience has been easy or “beautiful.”
You don’t have to organize your thoughts for my benefit—I’ll keep up.
When we work together, I want therapy to feel like a conversation between two people, not like I’m sitting across from you with all the answers. You can talk the way you normally talk, change your mind, or tell me flat out when something isn’t working. You don’t have to organize your thoughts for my benefit—I’ll keep up. My job is to get to know the real you, ask questions that invite you to see things differently, and shape our work around what you truly need.
As a mom of two young children who has experienced birth trauma myself, I know that a major life change like becoming a parent can be both meaningful and incredibly hard. I also have close family ties to first responder work, which have shaped my interest in supporting people in that community and the families alongside them.
Whatever brings you here, I won’t expect you to put a positive spin on it or rush to find a lesson in what happened. Some sessions may feel relieving while others touch feelings you’d rather not dig into. You can leave some of that weight with me while we work toward helping you feel more confident in yourself and more able to move forward.
We’ll make room for what’s happening in your life right now while also exploring where the messages you carry about yourself came from. Sometimes those messages are tied to past trauma or experiences that left you feeling unsafe, unheard, or unsure of your worth. Through approaches like EMDR, CBT, and narrative therapy, we can work toward understanding those experiences, finding more flexibility in how you think about yourself, and developing tools that fit your life.

A little bit more about me…
-
I started college studying history, which gave me an appreciation for different cultures and the experiences that shape how people see the world. After graduating I worked at a law firm and began going to therapy myself. I found the experience so meaningful that I started thinking differently about the ways I’d always tried to help people in my own life, and I decided to pursue graduate school.

I love spending time with my husband and our two kids, playing soccer in an adult league, going for walks, and trying out new small coffee shops.
